Hello World!

Unlock LG – Reset Android

We can reset Android in two different ways on the LG Nitro HD, an Android mobile phone at first exclusive to AT&T but later released for everyone.

Before jumping into the reset Android methods, you need to know which one to choose:

If for some reason you can not remember the lock pattern on your LG Nitro HD and thus cannot use it, then you will need the second reset Android method.

If you still have full access into the applications menu on your LG Nitro HD, then you can use the first method in order to successfully reset Android.

Both methods will return your LG Nitro HD into it’s original factory state, eliminating all your personal data, apps, messages and contacts. This is ideal if you want to give it away or sell it.

Before continuin, please verify that your LG Nitro HD is charged up to at least 50%, in order to avoid blackouts in the middle of the reset Android process.

First method to reset ANDROID ON the LG Nitro HD

To reset Android on the LG Nitro HD through the applications menu you only need to follow these steps:

  1. Enter the settings area from the applications menu
  2. Then press in the Privacy section
  3. Within this area tap Factory data reset
  4. Finally you must press Clear All

SECOND METHOD TO RESET THE ANDROID LG NITRO HD

In this second method, we will manage to reset Android on the LG Nitro HD, by entering the recovery menu:

  1. Turn off the phone and wait 10 seconds to take the next step
  2. While holding the VOLUME DOWN button, also press and hold the POWER button
  3. When your LG Nitro HD starts to vibrate, release both buttons and wait
  4. If all goes well you’ll see an alternative menu
  5. Use the VOLUME buttons to move
  6. Position yourself on “Wipe data / Factory reset” and press the POWER button to continue
  7. On the next screen select and confirm “Yes – Delete all user data” option

The reset Android process will start and after a few seconds you will land again in the alternative menu: You just press the power button to restart your LG Nitro HD, you’re done.

In this tutorial we will teach you to reset Android on the LG Optimus ME, a phone LG which is outdated and right now standing at the low-end market, but it still has many users given its low price .

In order to reset Android and restore the factory settings on the LG Optimus ME you can use one of the two traditional methods: Either reset Android from the menu or do a combination of buttons.

If you have completely lost access into the Android operating system, because the LG Optimus ME keeps throwing errors at you or you entered a pattern lock you do not remember, then you can only perform the second method, by using Android reset button sequence.

First method to reset Android ON YOUR LG Optimus ME

In this method you will use the application menu inside your LG Optimus ME to reset Android operating system, therefore your Android phone needs to be in working order. Follow these steps:

  1. Enter the application menu and tap Settings
  2. Navigate to privacy and tap factory data reset
  3. From this screen press reset phone
  4. Finally , press Delete all and wait for the computer restart mode first use

On the last screen you can format the SD card, if you decide to do all the data in it will be deleted , be careful if you enable this option.

SECOND METHOD TO RESET Android on your LG OPTIMUS ME

You will use a combination of buttons in order to activate the phone’s reset Android procedure and thus -hopefully- regain access into your LG Optimus ME.

Use the following steps:

Turn off the phone by taking the battery off and reinserting it after waiting 10 seconds.

Press the green key to making calls, the red End Call button next to the Volume Down key and wait for the screen to flicker

Release all buttons, the process has already started and you just have to wait for your LG Optimus ME to restart.

In the following tutorial we will show you two options to reset Android on the LG Optimus Black.

The LG Optimus Black features the Android 2.2 ( Froyo) / v2.3.4 (Gingerbread ) operating system and is internally powered by a 1GHz Cortex- A8 CPU, with 512 MB of available RAM.

The Android operating system on the LG Optimus Black can be even upgraded to v4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich).

Also, the LG Optimus Black includes a large screen of 4.0 ” with Corning Gorilla Glass protection, Optimus UI 2.0, multi-touch support, accelerometer sensor, gyroscope, and proximity sensor compass.

All these aspects makes the LG Optimus Black a keeper even at the day of this writing. Thus, if you got one, and it has slowed down, gives errors to you, or you are left blocked by the pattern block password, this reset Android procedure may solve your issues..

When performing an Android reset procedure, all user applications and  data are erased. Therefore -given the chance and if your LG Optimus Black is still working- it is recommended to backup your important data before continuing with this tutorial.

Reset Android on LG Optimus Black with keys

You can reset  Android on the LG Optimus Black even if you are left out of it’s Android OS, by using a button sequence. But note: There are problems with these methods:

Many LG user forums say that this phone does not accept a foolproof Hard reset method by using just the phone’s keys (as we used to do on other phones).

However, other users argue that they have managed to do a hard reset on their LG Optimus Black, following different key sequences.

Here we leave to you the most likely button sequences, for you to try:

FIRST METHOD TO RESET Android on your LG OPTIMUS BLACK

  1. When the phone is off , hold down the Power button HOME (home) + left hand
  2. While doing so the previous step, also press the POWER button ( on) for several seconds.
  3. The handset will power a factory reset is performed.
  4. When the LG logo is shown on the display , continue to hold the key for about two seconds and then release them all at once , before the LG logo disappears .

Second method to Reset ANDROID in the LG Optimus Black

  1. With the phone turned off, press VOLUME DOWN and POWER
  2. While the VOLUME DOWN button is pressed, release the POWER
  3. Wait until the menu appears and choose RECOVERY data / reset option Wipe

If neither of these methods works for you, and you have no access because your phone is locked with the pattern lock, the only alternative is to take your unfortunate LG Optimus Black to an official repair center because a special cable and software are required to achieve a hard reset on your phone.

OPTION 2 . Reset Android on LG Optimus Blac by Android’s menu

If you still have working access into your phone, then this method is for you.

You just have to go to the menu Settings> Backup and Restore > Factory data reset > Reset phone. ( If you want to erase all data on the SD card of your phone, select the Erase SD card checkbox )

The LG Optimus Black phone will turn on and perform factory reset immediately.
