reset – Reset Android – Part 4

In this tutorial we will show you how to reset Android on the HTC Desire 820, using any of the two methods we will describe.

Your HTC Desire 820 will end up with a clean operative system, without any lagging or malfunctions, just like out of box. This also comes handy if you want to sell your device, or give it away for someone else to use, and want to get rid of all the personal data stored in it.

Before starting with any of the two methods, please make sure the battery of your cellphone is charged up to at least 80%.

First method to reset Android on HTC Desire 820

To reset Android on HTC Desire 820 with this method, you must have access to the applications menu of your device. If that is the case, just follow these simple steps:

  • Go to Settings -> Backup & Reset
  • Tap on Reset Phone.
  • Select Erase all data, if you want to return your phone to factory settings, deleting all media and other personal documents. Select Erase SD Card if you want to delete everything from there as well.
  • Press OK and the process will start on its own.

Second method to reset Android on HTC Desire 820

If you have lost access to the operative system of your HTC Desire 820, you will need to reset Android using this method:

  • Make sure your device is completely turned off.
  • Press Volume Down and Power button together, until you see three android logos on the screen.
  • Use the Volume buttons to navigate through the options, until reaching Factory reset, and press the Power button to select.
  • Wait a few minutes for your HTC Desire 820 to restart with factory settings.

You’re done! You have now reset Android on your HTC Desire 820!

In this tutorial we will teach you how to reset Android on the Samsung Galaxy S3 LTE.

We will show you two methods to accomplish this, even if you have forgotten your lock pattern and it’s active. If this is your case, you should use method number two, which involves using the Samsung Galaxy S3 LTE hardware buttons.

  • Select Factory data reset
  • Tap on Reset Device and then tap on Continue

Second method to reset Android on Samsung Galaxy S3 LTE using hardware buttons

If you have lost the lock pattern of your Samsung Galaxy S3 LTE, or for another reason you don’t have access to the Android OS of your device, this is the method you will use to reset Android:

  • Make sure the Samsung Galaxy S3 LTE is completely turned off.
  • Press the Power button, the Volume Up button and the Home button, all at the same time. This will reboot your device into recovery mode.
  • When you see the Samsung logo on the screen, let go of the power button, but keep pressing the Volume up and Home buttons.
  • When you see a menu on the screen, let go of all buttons.
  • Using the volume buttons, go to the Wipe data / Factory reset option, and confirm the option using the Power button.
  • Select “Yes – Delete all user data” and confirm, and the reset Android will start.
  • Once it’s finished, it will return to the main menu. At this point restart your Samsung Galaxy S3 LTE and when it comes back it will be as good as out of the box, having returned to its factory settings.

And now you have successfully reset Android on a Samsung Galaxy S3 LTE device!

Reset Android on LG L Bello using hardware buttons

If you forgot the lock pattern of your LG L Bello or it’s malfunctioning for any other reason that will not let you have access to the Applications Menu, this is the method to reset Android that will work for you:

  • Make sure your device is completely turned off.
  • Press the Volume Down button, and without letting go, press the Power button.
  • When the LG logo shows up, release both buttons and press them again.
  • If the phone restarts itself normally, try the same steps again, but just let go of the power button, while keeping the volume down button still pressed.
  • When the Factory data reset screen shows, release both buttons.
  • Use the volume buttons to navigate to the YES option, and the power button to select.

And you’re done! Your LG L Bello should now have a clean android OS, like just out of the box, and you have successfully reset Android!
