out of the box – Reset Android – Part 4

In this tutorial we will show you two ways to reset Android on the Motorola Moto G Dual SIM. Which procedure you use will depend on the current state of your device.

If you have access to the Applications Menu of your Motorola Moto G Dual SIM, you can use the first method. You would use this method if your device works ok, but you noticed that it’s lagging, or you simply want to give it a fresh start, returning it to it’s factory settings.

You will use the second method if your Motorola Moto G Dual SIM has stopped responding, or you have lost or forgotten the lock pattern you previously set.

Remember that when you reset Android you loose all your personal data, including contacts, messages, and any applications you may have installed, so, if possible, do a backup of all your data before starting with any of the procedures.

Also make sure the battery of your Motorola Moto G Dual SIM is charged to at least 80%, to avoid any unwanted shut-downs mid-process.

Reset Android on Motorola Moto G Dual SIM via the Applications Menu

You will use this method to reset Android if you have access to the Applications menu of your Motorola Moto G Dual SIM device. To go through with the procedure, just follow these steps:

  • Go to the Applications Menu
  • Enter Settings
  • Go to Backup & Reset
  • Tap on Reset Phone
  • If you want to delete all personal data, press Erase all data
  • Read all notices and confirm

In a few minutes your Motorola Moto G Dual SIM will restart, as good as out of the box.

Reset Android on Motorola Moto G Dual SIM using hardware buttons.

This method to reset Android will be used if you have lost access to the Motorola Moto G Dual SIM’s OS, for whatever reason, for example if you forgot the Lock Pattern.

  • Completely turn off your device.
  • Press the Volume Down button and the Volume Up button together and then, without letting go of the volume buttons, press the Power button
  • Let go of all buttons and a menu will show.
  • Using the Volume Down button, navigate to the option Recovery, and press the Volume Up button to confirm the option.
  • You will see the Android logo, and at this time hold the Volume Up button a few seconds, and without letting go of the Volume Up button, click and let go of the Power button.
  • navigate to the Wipe data/Factory reset option, and press the Power button to select this option.
  • Tap on Yes – delete all user data, if that’s what you want to do, and confirm using the power button.

Sidenote: On some devices this is not enough to do a reset Android. If this is your case, select Apply update from ADB, and then  you’ll see the option Yes – delete all user data

You’re done! You should now have reset Android and your Motorola Moto G Dual SIM should be back to it’s factory settings, ready for new settings.

It’s time to reset Android on HTC Desire Eye to return it to it’s factory settings

If you have detected erratic behaviour from your, it might be time to reset Android, or maybe you have forgotten the lock pattern you set a while ago.

There are two methods to reset Android and in this tutorial we will explain both.

You will use the first one if you can access the Applications Menu of the HTC Desire Eye. The second method is for when you have a fatal error on the OS, or if you forgot or don’t know the lock pattern the HTC Desire Eye.

Reset Android on HTC Desire Eye using the Application Menu

If you have access to the Application Menu, this is the method you will use to reset Android on the HTC Desire Eye. Just follow these easy steps:

  • Go to your devices Application Menu
  • Go to Backup & Reset
  • Select Reset Phone
  • If you select Erase all data, this process will delete all media, your documents, and other files stored in your phone. If you want to delete everything stored in your memory card, too, select Erase SD card.
  • Tap on OK to start the process.

Reset Android on HTC Desire Eye using hardware buttons

If your HTC Desire Eye is not responding, or you can’t access it’s OS because for any number of reasons, you will use this method to reset Android on the device.

  • Turn off your HTC Desire Eye completely.
  • Press the Volume Down and Power buttons at the same time.
  • When you see three Android figures on the screen, let go of both buttons
  • A menu will show on the screen. Using the volume buttons to move between the options, select the Factory reset, and use the Power button to accept the selection.
  • The reset android process will start, and your phone will restart itself once it’s done.

You should now have a HTC Desire Eye as out of the box, having reset Android on it!

This tutorial will show you two very easy ways to reset Android on your Oppo N1 Mini device. In a really short time you will have your phone running as if it just left the factory.

One of the methods that we will explain requires that you have access to the Applications Menu, therefore your Oppo N1 Mini needs to be functioning and unlocked.

If that is not the case, you will go ahead and use the second method, which uses a combination of buttons to reset Android.

Before starting with any of the two methods, please make sure that your battery is charged to at least 80%.

Reset Android on Oppo N1 Mini by software

To reset android you will have to open the applications menu of your Oppo N1 Mini device and then follow these steps:

  • Go to Settings
  • Select Backup & Reset
  • Click on Restore Factory Settings
  • Select Reset Phone and then Erase all.

Your Oppo N1 Mini will now start the reset android process and will then restart itself.

Reset Android on Oppo N1 Mini by hardware

To reset android using hardware you will need to make sure your Oppo N1 Mini is turned off completely. A good way to do this is to remove the battery for a few seconds and then reinsert it, leaving the device turned OFF.

  • One you have made sure that your Oppo N1 Mini is turned off, press the Volume Down button, and while keeping it pressed, press and let go of the Power button.
  • A menu will show up for you to select the language. Select “English” by moving up and down with the volume buttons, and using the power button to select
  • Using the same buttons to move and to select, select “Wipe data and cache
  • Once you have confirmed the operation, the process will start automatically, and your phone will restart in a few minutes.

When your Oppo N1 Mini restarts, it will have factory settings, and will be ready to be customized as it was out of the box, and you will have succeeded and reset Android on the device.
